Support
The Levenshulme Square Residents Association is a group of like-minded volunteers with a drive to improve
our area of Levenshulme - and if you'd like to get involved then we'd love to welcome you!

Litter Picks
Come along and join us one of our local litter picks! We hold them regularly (more often in the summertime) and provide everything you need. It's a great way to keep the local community clean and tidy, and more hands helping out are always welcome!
Lev Square Fest
We're always in need of helpers and entertainers during Lev Square Fest season! Whether it's helping to organise the event, helping to clean up and tidy away on the day, or hosting a stall or activity for a few hours on the day - the more is always the merrier!
Blog Posts
Want to stretch those writing skills, or have some interesting projects or goings-on in Lev Square that you'd like to let your neighbours in on? Consider writing a post for our blog: you'll be fully credited and it helps to keep our Lev Square locals in the know, too!
Lev Square Fest
Our annual, local street party has been running since 2014 - and every year it gets even more ambitious than the last! We're very lucky to have lots of local talent and neighbours willing to help us out. If you'd like to get involved, here are some of the things that go into the day - do you think you could help out?
Planning
Planning for Lev Square Fest actually starts months before the event itself. This gives us time to brainstorm and plan ahead in order to make it as good as it can be.

Making sure everyone knows about it requires leafletting the area, and gives the people on the street we decide on some heads up (and also allows us to ask if they'd be willing to move their cars ahead of time.)
Litter Picks
We hold a few litter picks, focusing on the streets we'll be hosting Lev Square Fest, to make sure it's nice and tidy for set up. It also allows us to give a little thanks to the people living on the street for letting us use their space for the party!
Entertainment and Music
Making sure that entertainment acts and music are all prepared for the day allows us to have seamless, back-to-back entertainment. They often have to be booked in advance, so checking in is essential!
Setting Up
The day of the festival starts a few hours before, when tables and gazebos get set up along the street. It can be tough work, but it's exciting to see everything as it comes together.
Stalls
Stalls are minded by volunteers all day during the party, so there are always people around delivering free, family-friendly fun. Without volunteers, we wouldn't be able to hold as many stalls as we do.
Tidying Away
More hard work, but packing everything away is equally as rewarding when neighbours and friends pitch in. Everything gets packed away to go back to the kind folk who donated them.
Reviewing and Feedback
A few weeks later we all meet to chat about what went well and what could do better. Being able to collect feedback from volunteers and partygoers alike gives us a good starting point to plan for next year!
